The race

Fast, Flat And
Iconic.

The Dubai Marathon is the one race every runner in the region has on the list. A fast, flat course along Jumeirah, past the Burj Al Arab and Madinat Jumeirah, with mass participation runners on the same road as the elite field.

Three distances on one morning: the 42.195 km marathon, the 10 km road race and the 4 km fun run that is open to everyone. Every finisher takes home an official race shirt, a medal and a downloadable certificate.

ES Sport arranges the entry, the hotel, the transfers and the hospitality, so the only thing left to plan is the training.

  • Official race shirt collected with the run number at The Agenda, Dubai Media City
  • Finisher’s medal at the line for the marathon, 10 km and 4 km
  • Downloadable certificate with the chip time from the MikaTag system
  • Water every 2.5 km on the marathon course from 5 km, hydration drinks from 15 km
  • Medical cover at every main drink station and the finish
  • Baggage drop near the start and finish for marathon and 10 km runners

Marathon time limit is six hours with phased road openings. Race-day temperature is typically 10 to 15 degrees at the start.

Companies race as teams. A minimum of three runners in the marathon or five in the 10 km, entered under one company name, and the first three or five home count for the team result.

ES Sport handles the group entry, kit collection, a hospitality base near the finish and the hotel for colleagues flying in. One booking, one invoice, one point of contact.

How The Morning
Runs.

From the organisers’ general information for the 2027 race.

Run Number Collection

In person at The Agenda, Dubai Media City, in the four days before the race. Bring proof of identity.

Getting There

Road closures around Jumeirah Beach Road, Al Sufouh and Madinat Jumeirah. Park on Al Wasl Road or at Mall of the Emirates and walk, or use the taxi drop on Al Wasl Road. ES Sport transfers avoid the closures.

Start Times

Marathon elite 5:45 am, marathon masses 6:30 am, 10 km road race 8:00 am, 4 km fun run late morning.

The Finish

Entertainment, food and drink at the finish area all day for runners and spectators. Hospitality guests have a base of their own.

The course

The marathon starts on Umm Suqeim Road; the 10 km and 4 km start on Al Sufouh after Madinat Jumeirah, in the shadow of the Burj Al Arab.

A sea-level course with long straights along the coast, which is why it is the fastest marathon in the Middle East and a favourite for personal bests.

Sunday 17 January 2027, confirmed by the organisers. Run numbers are collected at The Agenda, Dubai Media City, from Wednesday 13 to Saturday 16 January.

The marathon is open to runners aged 18 and over, the 10 km road race to 15 and over, and the 4 km fun run to everyone.

Enter three or more colleagues in the marathon, or five or more in the 10 km, under one company name. The first three or five to finish count for the team. ES Sport can enter the whole group and add hospitality and hotels.

Yes. Run and Stay packages combine the entry with a hotel close to the start and transfers on race morning that avoid the road closures. Tell us the group size and we will send options.
