About the Etihad arena
The Etihad Arena, located on Yas Island in Abu Dhabi, is the Middle East’s largest state-of-the-art indoor sports and entertainment venue, with a seating capacity of 18,000. Since opening in January 2021, the arena has hosted a variety of world-class events, including: the UFC 257, 264, and 308 MMA fights and three editions of the NBA Abu Dhabi Games, with further iterations planned, along with concerts, shows and exhibitions. Designed by HOK, the arena’s structure is inspired by traditional Arabic woven baskets, offering an architecturally stunning and versatile space for sports and entertainment. Etihad Arena is physically in the Yas Bay area, which conveniently places it within walking distance of nearby hotels, retail stores, cafes and restaurants to enjoy before and after events. There is also ample parking close to the venue, which is fully accessible for wheelchair users and offers disability seating throughout.
