Asia’s most iconic rugby weekend. The Cathay/HSBC Hong Kong Sevens returns to Kai Tak Stadium from 9 to 11 April 2027 as the opening event of the HSBC SVNS World Championship. Three-day tickets, hospitality, flights and hotels from the UAE, arranged through ES Sport.
Every sevens player wants to win Hong Kong. Founded in 1976 and now the first leg of the HSBC SVNS World Championship, it is the tournament the rest of the series measures itself against, with the world’s leading men’s and women’s teams on the same three-day bill.
Since 2025 the Sevens has lived at Kai Tak Stadium: 50,000 seats, a soundproof retractable roof, in-stadium cooling and a Fan Village open until 10.30 pm, ten minutes’ walk from two MTR stations. The South Stand remains the South Stand.
From the UAE it is a long weekend: overnight flights out, three days of rugby and the city, and home for Monday. ES Sport arranges the tickets, the hospitality, the flights and the hotel as one booking.

Built on the site of the old Kai Tak Airport, the 50,000-seat main stadium of Kai Tak Sports Park hosted its first Sevens in March 2025.
