Tour Schedule
The tour kicks off on June 28th, 2025, with the Lions facing the Western Force at Optus Stadium in Perth. This will be followed by a match against the Queensland Reds at Suncorp Stadium in Brisbane on July 2nd. The British & Irish Lions will then travel to Sydney to take on the NSW Waratahs at Allianz Stadium on July 5th. Their next fixture will see them play against the ACT Brumbies at GIO Stadium in Canberra on July 9th.
One of the unique inclusions in this tour is a scheduled match against an AUNZ Invitational XV team, comprising a mix of players from Australia and New Zealand, which will take place at Adelaide Oval on July 12th. This match is expected to produce a totally riveting encounter, showcasing some of the top talents from both nations.
Test Matches
The first Test match against the Wallabies will be held at Suncorp Stadium in Brisbane on July 19th. A venue nicknamed ‘The Cauldron,’ known for its electric atmosphere and passionate fans, making it a fitting venue for the opening Test of what is expected to be an explosive series. Following this game, the Lions will play a midweek match against the Melbourne Rebels at Marvel Stadium on July 22nd.
The second Test takes place at the iconic Melbourne Cricket Ground (MCG) on July 26th and will be equally on a knife edge as a potential decider. With a capacity of 100,000, the MCG is one of the largest stadiums in the world, and a sell-out crowd is expected. This match could potentially set a record for the highest attendance at a British & Irish Lions Test match.
The final Test will be held at Accor Stadium in Sydney on August 21. This stadium, located in Sydney Olympic Park, can accommodate over 80,000 fans, and provides the perfect impassioned grand stage for the concluding and, quite possibly, the deciding match of the series.

Defeat for the Wallabies was a difficult pill to swallow, but the victory was of course celebrated in style by a collective ‘sea of red’ created by the thousands of Lions’ fans who had travelled to Australia; generating an atmosphere in the stadiums like no other.
